Sanseveria is easy to care for as a houseplant, prefers bright light but will tolerate lower levels. The soil should almost dry out between waterings, it collects water on its leaves, so excess water can cause the plant to rot. Place the sansevierian in a room with an average house temperature and protect it from the coldest temperatures. Feed the plant once every three weeks with a general food for all house plants.
